Mom and Daughter

I was feeling a bit down yesterday after getting back to Atlanta and Amanda called and said she got really homesick when she returned to Rio. It was great to see her and meet Leandro in Buenos Aires over her Easter Break. Even though she was away at Tulane and I might not have seen her for several months at a stretch, I think being so far away makes your home sickness more acute . It is worse since you know that you can’t just hop in the car and see your mom if you really wanted to. But I told her that we could look on the bright side that at least we had the type of relationship where we miss each other rather that if she had gone back home and said Whew… glad I got that trip to see my mother out of the way for another year!
