Imaginary Friend or Long Lost Brother ?
Eric is one of Duane and my Tango “litter mates”. We started taking tango lessons at the same time and have gotten to be good friends over this past year. When we went to Argentina this Spring we shared an apartment with Eric and had a great time together. From the first time Eric met Duane, he told us that Duane had a look alike named Myles, an artist friend of his from Nashville. Eric would tell tales of Myles escapades and make Myles seem fabulous and larger than life.
However, It seemed that we were always just missing Myles. Eric would say oh you should have been here a couple of hours ago because Myles was here. It got to the point that we accused Eric of making Myles up as an imaginary friend.
So recently Eric called at the last minute one Friday night and told us Myles was in town and invited us to go out to Dinner so we could meet. I will say that Myles is in fact a real person and a real artist and he does look like he could be Duane’s younger brother with a spikier hairstyle . We had a blast. I am really glad Eric didn’t make Myles up and hope to spend time with him the next time he comes to town.
