Beautiful Dancing
I was very excited when Robyn called me today to tell me that she had been watching You Tube videos of the dance routines from the past two weeks of So You Think You Can Dance. We are fanatics and have been getting together every week to watch the results show. Before we watch it we also replay the dances from the previous night in full since I TIVO them.
But there was Robyn on a Monday afternoon watching them over and over on You Tube, like a teenage playing her favorite song. I couldn’t wait to write a blog about the show and include a couple of my favorite routines, like Katee and Joshua’s dancing to No Air by Jordan Sparks. It was riveting. It immediately gave me goosebumps and then tears in my eyes. I have never been so moved by art. That same night Mia Michaels choreographed a routine for another young couple, Chelsea and Mark, taking into account their personal quirkiness. It was blow you away beautiful and again moved me.
Where are these videos you might be wondering? Well of course they are copyrighted so they are not available to post here. But all I can say is you really need to watch this show. It is the only one I watch and these dancers will knock your socks off.
