I-pod Retro Mini Speaker for a Rocking Stocking Stuffer

Posted November 30th, 2008 by Judi

I tracked them down these little honeys and will share these great little gadgets with you. But Shhhh… I am buying three of them; one pink, one red and one blue. They are 3 inches by 1 inch, do not need batteries since they are powered by the I-pod and they are actually a little speaker. Just the thing for traveling.

Colorful Christmas

Posted November 30th, 2008 by Judi

I have to admit it, I am a color freak. My dirty little secret is that I have over one hundred cans of paint in my garage and that is one hundred, after I recently weeded out the empty dried up cans. So you see, of course I would have had to fall in love with Pantone dishes when I first saw them a couple of years ago at the Fishes Eddy store in New York City. The set at Fishes Eddy did not have mugs, only cups and saucers. But now, I just came across this set of ten mugs for 125.00 from Delight.com, and I am salivating. These mugs,

How Do You Like the New Template?

Posted November 27th, 2008 by Judi

I mean, besides the fact that it doesn’t seem to work with Internet Explorer, yet it works just fine with Firefox. And I can’t get the comments page to work. And I’d rather the main paper part of the blog had a green folder sticking out from behind it rather than the curling paper but I haven’t gotten to that yet. I mean besides all that, what do you think?

And while I am asking some questions of you out there, can someone tell me

Help to get us a Blue Seat in this Red state

Posted November 25th, 2008 by Judi

Here are three things that you can do to help Obama get his policies passed.
1. Vote for Jim Martin on December 2nd.  Early voting ends tomorrow and their are no lines where I went in Fulton County. You can go to your regular polling places on Tuesday December 2nd.
2. Get others to vote for Jim [...]

Time to Overhaul the Studio

Posted November 24th, 2008 by Judi

Before – Very Dusty

Mid- Way Through – Not Dusty, but a big old mess

For the past couple of months, I have noticed the dust accumulation on my office shelves. Every so often I would kind of swipe the exposed parts with a feather duster, but I knew it was a half measure and that massive dust deposits were lurking behind every photograph and object d’art. I was just too darn busy to deal with it.

But this past weekend, (not that I wasn’t busy, in fact I was very busy) I could stand it no longer and decided I would just get out the Endust. Well, one thing led to another and now in addition to dusting the shelves I find myself going through boxes of photographs, kids art work ( they are now 20 and 22) and trying to find a container big enough for my

A Whirlwind of a Political Season

Posted November 23rd, 2008 by Judi

The fact that Obama was actually elected President of the United States is just incredible. It is so nice to finally be working on the side that won. What a great feeling. I could not believe when the moron sheep of this Nation voted for George Bush – a second time.

I have been impressed with Obama from the time that I read his first book about his father. That was a couple of years before he ran for President. I liked him but I came to respect and admire him more and more over time. During this campaign McCain showed himself to be an erratic, opportunist who did not have a clue about what American’s wanted or needed from a President. Choosing Sarah Palin as a running mate and then acting so bizarrely with the economic crisis, whew…not very presidential. I was appalled. No way could we let them win. Whereas Obama has been steller. He ran a great campaign. it was impeccable.

From Friday October 31 to November 4, I had a front row seat to the get Obama elected volunteer efforts. I donated our loft space on Krog street to be a count down staging area for three Intown polling stations. Here is a little video piece on what we did leading up the Obama Election.

The next day after the election when the hangovers abated, everyone just moved on over to work on the Martin campaign. And we have been working our buns off to get him elected. Swarms of people from all over the country have come to Georgia to help.

LOve those Geeks

Posted November 21st, 2008 by Judi

Found out yesterday that the data recovery team was able to get my files off of my bad hard drive. The Best Buy Geeks said they never saw a hard-drive that these data recovery guys couldn’t recover,  unless it had been burned up in a fire or something. But they did warn me it could [...]
