img_1291I am here and it is everything I had hoped it would be and more. I just love to be surprised by great design. I keep finding things that knock my socks off. Here are some pictures of the hotel and of room number 315.

Cool Way to Never Lose your Reading Glasses

Posted May 12th, 2008 by Judi

My Sister Dorothy came to town sportin’ the best glasses I have seen in a long time. Everywhere we went people asked her about them. They are called Clics and they have a snap to closure at the nose so that they just hang around your neck if you aren’t needing them. Dorothy’s glasses were in my favorite color, chartreuse. But, when we looked for them on-line you can get them in lavender, grass

Buenos Aires tango orchestra

Whether you have three days in Buenos Aires or you plan to fall in love and live here for good, a walking tour is a great way to get to know the city,

says Eve Hyman, in an Interview with Alan Patrick for the website, Argentinastravel.com. Alan is a blogger, English expat, who offers walking tours of Buenos Aires. I had read Alan’s blog, Buenos Tours prior to going to Buenos Aires back in March 08 and found it fun and informative. I never was able to take one of his tours since we were on such a whirlrwind tango schedule for ten days at CITA 2008. But because I read his posts I felt like I knew where I wanted to go when we did have a little time.

Ace Hotel – Portland’s Hipster Paradise

Posted May 10th, 2008 by Judi

Shannon Baird, my NBF in Portland, suggested that I stay in the Ace Hotel while I am there visiting Michael next week. Their website is the cats pajamas and I love this place. I held my breath when I called for a reservation since it was such short notice. I was really lucky that they had one. I am so there! The Ace Hotel ( photo above by Zutter Bug) is located

Atlanta Brides, Get Your Wedding Here!

Posted May 5th, 2008 by Judi

Looks like a bride

I booked a couple of weddings here at 130 Krog Street for the fall and it got me thinking about all the brides out there that may need a place to get married but didn’t think about it a year in advance and now the good places are all taken. So if you are a bride or know a bride, there are still weekends

Kevin Rathbun Puts Krog Street on the Map

Sunday evening Rathbuns celebrated their fourth anniversary with a blow out blues barbecue for several hundred people in The Stove Works parking lot. I remember back in 1998, I was looking for a cool space to move my software company into. Twice a week I would drive around town with commercial Realtor, Harry Jenkins looking at Intown buildings and getting an education in commercial real estate on the side. Back then Harry showed me the Stove Works which was for

Rained out

Posted May 3rd, 2008 by Judi

Wouldn’t you know it. I plan my garage sale and an hour and a half into it the rain pours down. I think I made about 100.00 and most of that was from my friend Callahan buying backs gifts she gave me. No just kidding. Well there was the Marilyn Monroe handbag that she gave me for my birthday one year.

Carlos Noche

My brother, Charlie Knight, is the youngest of seven children – but, the worst of it for him, his older siblings are all girls! That may explain why he is still single at 44. But really, it is because he is an artist maniac.

Field trip to Grower’s Outlet

Posted April 19th, 2008 by Judi

Three for 20 dollars

There is a fantastic nursery, Grower’s Outlet out in Loganville, Georgia that has the best prices around and a really nice selection of plants. They have things that you’re not going to find at your local Home Depot and if you did they would be double in price.
