Testing 1 -2 -3

Posted April 13th, 2008 by Judi

My new theme is now up and running complete with the images I created for it.

Check out that header with the retro girl in the convertible. — said Judi proudly

I got a little illustration from a stock photo supplier, Dreamstime, of a woman with a blond ponytail in a dark red convertible and I opened it up in photo-shop and changed her hair style and color to look like mine and changed the color of her car. I increased the image to the correct size by adding extra canvas to the left side of the graphic. That gave me the room to add my headline on top of the image.

Dreamstime is great since you get to just buy credits in blocks starting at 10.00 for the use of images of different resolutions for different purposes. So as long as you are not using the images for something that you are making a million of to resell, then you can get them for a dollar or two each. They have some really fun images and photographs.

I still have a few things wrong with my site. I have yet to figure out the photo up-loader which hasn’t worked since I upgraded Word Press and my Contact form has never worked. But hey, that’s not too bad. I am hoping to get some help with it tomorrow since at this point, I have tried everything I can do by myself. Enough is enough. I have to get back to having something more interesting to write about.

    Judy-
Hi. Thanks for the comments!!! Much appreciated as I love comments too.

I’ll pass on the info about the logo to my hubby. I’m a little challenged when it comes to that end of things.

The online garage sale thing has gone well and I’ve done as well with it as I would with having a 2 or 3 day traditional garage sale. It’s taking me a lot longer than 2 or 3 days though … but it has worked for me. It’s easier in a sense of just putting things online as I go room to room without piling things somewhere for a traditional garage sale. It’s harder in that I am still NOT DONE! I have MORE rooms to go through and MORE stuff to put into an online garage sale!

    Thanks!
