Wishes do Come True

I love writing down my desires, the focus tends to manifest them. It doesn’t hurt to keep the list somewhere that your husband or boyfriend can see it. Here was my wish list in 2001.

August 30, 2001

• Salmon colored window shades for office
• Rug for my office
• Traffic CD “Low Spark of the High Heeled Boys”
• Other Cowboy Junkies CD’s (I have Trinity)
• Go to Dance Vortex in Alabama
• Close up Alicia Keys tickets for Chastain
• Fresh flowers to include Lilies, Roses, Iris, Sunflowers, Gladiolas, Tuberose
• Enroll in a Drawing or painting Class
• Dinner at the Lobster bar with Scott.
• Breakfast in bed
• Plant Groundcover in the loft backyards
• Poetry
• Inside Citrus Tree in large pot for from Foresters
• Trip to Glen Ella Springs or Lake Burton/Rabin
• Diamond earrings
• Lavender bath salts
• White water rafting on Section 4 of the Chattooga in September
• New gym socks
• Halloween party
• Practice with Jimbo’s band
• Go to Paris for Thanksgiving with Scott for my birthday
• One of Lou’s paintings
• Visit Carol Sue, Mickey and Jackie in Hawaii
• Newspaper delivered on weekends
• Shopping with Callahan for new Fall clothes
• Great dress for Christmas party
• Help/moral support to clean out boxes of old life stuff in TV room and storage
• A yoga mat
• Mushrooms
• Dancing at the Chamber with friends
• Silver earrings
• A small sterling silver emblem for my chain
• Cable TV service
• Sex in the City videos from this season
• New Apple green towels from Company Store
• Any Jewelry from the Sundance catalog
• Book

Thirty of the thirty-seven of the items on this list came true. I’m not saying which ones, but Scott did take me to Paris that year for my birthday. . .
